The ISBNPA Satellite Meeting: 'Challenges and opportunities in the promotion of an active life in childhood and adolescence' is an international scientific gathering affiliated with the International Society of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity. Coordinated by the Universidad Pablo de Olavide in collaboration with the Universidad de Cádiz and the Spanish Network for an Active and Healthy Childhood, the meeting's primary objective is to analyze current challenges and emerging strategies in promoting healthy lifestyles from the earliest stages of life. Through knowledge transfer among researchers, health professionals, and public entities, the conference seeks to drive effective policies and programs to combat sedentary behavior and improve the holistic well-being of children and adolescents. Hosting this satellite meeting reinforces UPO's commitment to research excellence and its leadership in the fields of Sports Science and Public Health.

The research group “Intercultural pragmatic studies (English-Spanish): Pragmatic and discourse issues” is pleased to announce the upcoming Twelfth International Symposium on Intercultural, Cognitive and Social Pragmatics (EPICS XII, after the Spanish acronym for “Encuentros de Pragmática Intercultural, Cognitiva y Social”). Under the aegis of the PATDISC research project (“Discourse pathologisation in Twitter, Instagram and TikTok”, grant PID2022-136840O, MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and ERDF, UE), funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, EPICS XII will be held on May 27th-29th 2026, at the Faculty of Humanities of Pablo de Olavide University, Seville (Spain). It will be an on-site, face-to-face academic event.

The conference theme will be “Communicating in the digital age: Pragmatics, discourse analysis and (online) interaction”. EPICS XII organising committee is delighted to announce the conference keynote speakers:

  • Pilar Garcés-Conejos Blitvich, University of North Carolina, Charlotte.

Welcome to the website for the 18th International Research Seminar on Accounting History, hosted by the Department of Finance and Accounting at Pablo de Olavide University (Seville, Spain). 

The seminar will provide a forum for researchers to present and discuss their latest findings in the field of accounting history, as well as to network and build new collaborations with colleagues from around the world.

This year's seminar will take place on June 25th (Thursday) and 26th (Friday) 2026, and promises to be an exciting event for scholars interested in accounting history. 

This year’s guest speaker will be Laura Maran (University of Trento, Italy) with a presentation titled “Management of Arts and Culture to Maintain the Legacy of the Past”

In addition, we will hold a special session to recognise the invaluable work of journal referees, whose contributions often go unnoticed at academic conferences; the session will take the form of a round table featuring Laura Maran (University of Trento), Salvador Carmona (IE University), and Alan Sangster (University of Aberdeen).

El Encuentro de la Asociación Ibérica de Historia del Pensamiento Económico es un congreso científico internacional que reúne a investigadores para presentar y discutir resultados de investigación del campo de la historia de las ideas y de las instituciones económicas. Desde hace 25 años, este encuentro se celebra de forma bianual y con sedes alternativas entre España y Portugal.

 

El encuentro tendrá lugar en Sevilla, España, el 3 y 4 de diciembre de 2026.
